CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding and highly innovative Information Technology company, we are seeking to recruit a reliable Quality Assurance Manager to join their team of professionals based in Limassol.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
- Prioritise and delegate incoming testing work during app release cycles.
- Proven experience in manual and automated testing.
- Monitor all operations that affect quality.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, to the iOS/Android QA team, consisting of both full-time employees and contractors (offshore and on-site).
- Assist with testing the client impact of upstream API and service deployments.
- Continually analyse and drive down defect counts and crash trending.
- Proactively verify app compatibility with upcoming OS versions via beta programs.
- Monitor video content delivery for quality and investigate data transfer through HTTP proxying.
- Effectively triage, prioritise, and test fixes for bugs found during development cycles (and occasionally in production).
- Work with the development and product management teams to understand and contribute to requirements and test cases for new features.
- Investigate patterns of issues being reported by customers and trending in analytics data in order to reproduce problems and get them addressed.
- Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.
- Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied.
- Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action.
- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analysing quality data.
- Review current standards and policies.
- Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation.
- Ensure all legal standards are met.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Educated to BSc/BA degree level in Business Administration or related fields.
- Extensive experience (3-5+ years) testing native iOS and Android consumer-facing applications.
- Application of critical thinking to help solve complex problems.
- High regard for test case maintainability.
- Understanding of IP video delivery is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate incoming testing work during app release cycles.
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Great attention to detail and a results driven approach.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Reliable and Trustworthy.
- Take ownership and responsibility of application quality.
- Certification of quality control is a strong advantage.
