On behalf of our Client, an International Licensed Company of Financial Consultants and Advisors, we are looking to recruit a motivated individual for the position of the Consultant for the Regulatory & Licensing Department for their offices based in Limassol.
No experience required - we welcome graduates of Law-oriented degrees who are willing to enter the industry!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review and analyze new regulations and advise how these are impacting financial firms.
· Draft, review and update of manuals, policies and procedures with respect to the operations of financial firms worldwide.
· Preparation of applications for obtaining licenses for the provision of Financial services in Europe and in third countries (i.e. Investment Firms, Investment Funds, E-Money Institutions, Payment Services Providers, Betting and Gaming Licenses)
· Ensure that regulated firms fulfill their annual obligations and license conditions.
· Onsite and desk-based inspections on regulatory compliance matters.
· Provide advice and solutions to financial firms on regulatory compliance queries/issues.
· Draft and review annual reports for the financial firms.
· Communicate on behalf of financial firms with the local Regulators in Europe and in offshore jurisdictions.
PROFILE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related degree.
· Professional experience in a corporate environment preferably in the financial services sector is an advantage.
· CySEC certificates (Basic or Advanced) for the provision of investment services would be considered as an advantage.
· Knowledge in European and offshore regulatory frameworks, such as AML, KYC, MiFiD, etc.
· Knowledge of the financial services sector in Europe and in third countries, gained ideally from working in corporate environments.
