This is an opportunity to work with one of the most well established and reputable Forex Brokers in a position that grants exposure to all lines of the Company’s global business and reports directly to the CIO. The successful candidate has the chance to become an SME in some areas whilst building broad practical knowledge in others. They will be well placed to make a notable contribution to the ongoing success of this organization.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Roadmap of critical projects across all business streams (Marketing, Retention, Risk-Management, Finance and Compliance)
- Contribute to the definition of the best practices to be used by the Software R&D Department
- Gather and analyze requirements, and coordinate with local and offshore Dev Leads to collect estimates
- Prioritize requested items with the business and IT, and assign Development and QA staff as required
- Create a consensus where there is disagreement, and enthuse the Development teams to deliver high quality products on time
- Build strong relationships with colleagues based on a foundation of trust and reliability
- Work with the CIO and Stakeholders to help realize the company’s strategic vision
Requirements:
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Should have both Product and Project Management experience, having actively run several projects at a time; and managed a portfolio of services; as part of their recent responsibilities
- Experience within the financial sector, and in areas such as Web Site Product Management; Financial Markets, and (ideally) Mobile Applications
- Awareness of the regulatory environment affecting FX or Capital markets; industry trends and terminology
- Skillful and persuasive communicator, able to maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and IT staff that are both onshore and abroad
- Strong understanding of Agile Development, and practical experience with it
- They need to have an approach that incorporates processed based methodologies such as PMP, PM2, or Prince2, and possess the judgement and experience needed to apply them efficiently and to the greatest effect.
- An Industry Certification in Project Management is required, and a qualification such as ITIL or CISA is advantageous
- Experience in using and administering project/task tracking tools such as Redmine, Jira, Asana, or Bugzilla is critical
- Practical knowledge of Business Intelligence, Analytics, SEO or Marketing Operations would be valuable.
