The client

A holding company of a well-established Group of Companies

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility of the finance function of the Company in Cyprus. Main responsibilities include:

 

·       Ensure the smooth operation of the finance function

·       Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and submission of management accounts and statutory consolidated financial statements

·       Oversee the production of all relevant reporting as required by Banks and Senior Management

·       Ensure adherence to financial controls introducing and implementing changes to procedures where needed.

·       Oversee the preparation and management of the budgeting process as well as of the re-forecasting and other planning processes

·       Ensure that legal requirements for Tax and VAT are met

·       Assume responsibility for Treasury Management activities

·       Handle the payment processes and introduce the necessary controls

·       Maintain relations and cooperate with external associates such as auditors, banks

·       Guide, overview and liaise with the finance team members

 

Profile of the ideal candidate

·       Member of a Professional Accounting Body, preferably ACA

·       At least 10 years post qualification experience including solid experience in a senior management role

·       Experience in a senior role in the Tax Department of an Audit firm will be considered an advantage

·       Experience as a Finance Director in an environment with overseas shareholders and subsidiaries will be considered an advantage

·       Strong business acumen

·       Dynamic with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results

·       Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills

·       Excellent interpersonal and people management skills

·       Fluency in English

·       Knowledge of Russian language will be considered an advantage

·       Computer literate
