Job Description
1. Follow and abide by any of the instructions/requests of the Head of Compliance.
2. Support the Head of Compliance in the implementation and improvement of internal KYC management and compliance procedures in order for the Company to comply with key CySEC requirements.
3. Support the Head of Compliance in the implementation of manual and/or automated monitoring systems in order to identify risks, trends and potential suspicious activity related to money laundering.
4. Support the Head of Compliance with the monitoring and assessment on the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures put in place and designed to detect any risk of failure by the Company to comply with its obligations under Law 144(I)/2007, as well as the associated risks.
5. Support the Head of Compliance with the implementation of the Company’s Compliance Monitoring Program according to CySEC Compliance Guidelines.
6. Overview regulatory compliance and serve as a compliance contact for departments and other designated areas.
7. Respond to compliance needs of operational personnel regarding implementation of procedures in accordance with all CySEC laws and regulations and compliance with rules that govern the Company’s operations, products and services.
8. Review Agreements, marketing and advertising material, and publications for compliance, making appropriate changes as needed.
9. Represent department in evaluating operational system changes and new products, recommending changes or enhancements to limit losses and compliance risk exposures to the Head of Compliance.
10. Analyze changes in laws and/or regulations that impact the Company and its operations to ensure the Company’s compliance monitoring program remains effective and accurate
11. Perform audits to prospectively test compliance, established laws, regulations, Company’s policies and managerial guidelines, participating in the development of corrective action plans where areas of opportunity are identified.
12. Update, publish, post, and maintain procedures manual working with Head of Compliance and Department Leaders in addition to communicating procedural changes to team members.
13. Ensure full compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
14. Escalate cases and issues related to the prevention of Money laundering and Terrorist Financing to the Head of Compliance.
15. Support the Head of Compliance in the implementation of a risk based approach policy and procedures in relation to AML.
Required Qualifications
• A minimum of three years compliance or related experience in a Cyprus Investment Firm
• University degree or similar professional qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of CySEC Laws and regulations applicable to CIFs required
• A strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
