Assistant Financial Controller (648/HRS)
Limassol
The company
A leading online service provider for retail customers to trade CFDs internationally, with operations in Limassol, Cyprus
Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual who seeks a position in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will report to the CFO of the company.
Main responsibilities include:
• Prepare financial statements and monthly management accounts
• Ensure that all financial information is recorded in a complete, accurate and timely manner
• Review the processing of accounting records in accordance with statutory requirements and IFRS and prepare monthly accounting reports
• Monitor the adherence to the company’s policies and procedures that relate to the accounting department and the treasury cycle
• Handle tax and VAT issues and liaise with the company’s tax advisors and the relevant Authorities
• Conduct high level treasury reconciliations and review other bank reconciliations relating to the accounting cycle
• Liaise with external associates such as auditors, banks etc.
Profile of the ideal candidate
• Member to a Professional Accounting Body (ACA/ ACCA) is a must
• 2-3 years post qualification experience is a must
• Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with an ability to take initiative
• High levels of energy, drive and commitment
• Computer literate (MS Office, including knowledge of computerised accounting packages)
• Very good knowledge of English is a must. Knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
