Job description:
• The Tactical intelligence unit is looking for an R&D Director to lead the development group (more than 80 employees)
• We are looking for a visionary, extremely technical and professional manager with strong mentoring and management skills
• This person will report to VP R&D and will be a member of the R&D management team
• The position will be based in Limassol, Cyprus
Responsibilities:
• Close cooperation with product managers to assure customer focus and target costing; co-developing product road maps
• Coordination of product development managers in defining the right allocation of the resources
• Developing employees assigned to the department ensuring the correct application of tools and policies on training, career path, evaluations and inputs to compensation systems
• Generate new product ideas and innovations
• Define and assimilate development process
• Support and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Support R&D projects at a group level participating in meetings and sharing technical information and "best-practices”

Required Qualifications
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required
• MBA or Advanced Technical degree highly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in managing/leading a large R&D or Product Development team
• At least 10 years of experience in product design and development
• Strong operational and project management skills
• Solid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, financial, sales, and marketing as related to product design and development
• Proven leadership skills with an entrepreneurial spirit
• MBA or Advanced Technical degree highly preferred
