Limassol
Our client an International Single Family Office based in Limassol that are part of a large financial investment group are looking to hire a Senior Accountant/Controller for their office here in Cyprus.
The role will be responsible for:
Reporting to the Group CFO, the role will be responsible for Financial Analysis, Reporting and Accounting relating to all Cypriot group entities and other entities assigned, including regulatory reporting, tax reporting and financial reporting.
Assisting the Directors and Group CFO with investment cases, treasury and cash management and complex IFRS matters.
On a case by case basis the Senior Accountant/Controller will be requested to review the investments' return and to suggest potential improvements to the structure, (intercompany) financing.
Key areas of responsibility:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Responsible for the monthly management accounts of the Cypriot entities and other entities within the group
Actively contributes to an improvement management reporting cycle with the Group
Responsible for all annual Cypriot statutory reporting and other jurisdictions within the group
Responsible for all Cypriot Tax filings and coordinate other jurisdictions within the group
In charge of the execution of cash movements when Cypriot entities are involved
Supports the periodical (statutory) consolidation and manages the consolidation process, as well as the annual process of the group
Supports the team of accountants within their international office with the preparation and filing of statutory periodic reports for the international office
Ensures that filing deadlines are met and workflows are efficiently dealt with
Develops and maintains processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Cypriot company's reporting requirements
Acts as interIocutor with external service providers in jurisdictions where primary accounting tasks are outsourced
Supports the CFO with all other financial reporting, cash/treasury management and accounting related with respect to the Cypriot entities
Operational Support:
Working with other members of the Cyprus and other international office teams on special projects and initiatives
The successful candidate will have/be:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) or Master Degree in Accounting/Finance
Previous experience within the Top 4 would be an advantage
Previous experience in financial holding/investment structure and/or private equity
Accounting standards - has extensive experience and knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus GAAP
A very good understanding of Cyprus Tax structures, tax rules and compliance requirements
Some experience with treasury, cash management and custody movements and the consequences thereof
It will be an advantage to have experience with UK inbound investments
Experience within an international environment and ability to work with cross boarder teams
Excellent time management skills
Tech savvy - possesing tech related skills to be able to navigate diverse technology tools that act as a platform on which efficiencies are built
Works at a high pace while delivering quality work
Self starter, who can work independently and drive delivery focus
High attention to detail
Results orientated, pro-active with professional and ambitious attitude
Analytical and willingness to learn
High level of energy
High profiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Experience with Microsoft Navision would a distinct advantage
