Job Description

Our Client is a well-established investment firm within the FX industry and they are currently looking for a SQL Developer. The successful candidate should have a University Degree in Computer Science or any other related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and creating reporting databases.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize in-application SQL statements
  • Create ETL solutions that capture data from multiple systems and transform in a unified format
  • Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches
  • Ensure performance, security and availability of databases
  • Prepare documentations and specifications
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Create data visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Collaborate with other team members, middle and top management
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications

Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science or any other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and creating reporting databases
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language
  • Proficiency with SQL scripting and its variation among popular databases
  • Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
  • Experience with designing and managing relational databases
  • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of ETL techniques by utilizing SSIS packages will be considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services will be considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of a Business Intelligence tool (most preferable Power BI) will be considered as an advantage 
  • Relevant experience in the Financial Services industry will be considered as an advantage
