Job Description
Our client, a company providing services mainly to the Financial markets industry is looking for an Accountant. Their financial teams have grown and developed into a team of strong, talented individuals and they’re currently looking to add another strong professional that will add more value to their team.
The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily Cash Flows
- Daily bookkeeping and recording of transactions in the accounting system
- Reconciliations of bank accounts and clearing companies
- Basic knowledge of annual financial statements
- Calculation and preparation of payment files (calculating, issuing invoices and entering payments to the system)
- Payroll preparation (calculation of payroll, tax and SI)
- VAT calculation and form submission
Requirements
- University degree holder in Accounting and Finance or in another relevant field
- Non-qualified or partly qualified ACA or ACCA
- At least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role
- Excellent command of English language both verbal and written
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (formulas, spreadsheet formulation)
- Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
- Ability to work under pressure
