Job Description

Our client is a Licensed Payment Service Provider with Offices in Limassol and they are currently looking to recruit a Legal/Compliance Officer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage all relevant internal structures, policies and procedures and well as external communication to ensure compliance with Cyprus Central Bank directives.
  • Assist with educating employees with respect to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, contracting process and various other areas of responsibilities
  • Performing as a legal and corporate focal point in commercial negotiations with company's current and prospective customers, vendors and partners around the world
  • Executing company's policies and legal standings
  • Providing legal advice and guidance on Payment Systems & Services Cyprus
  • Legislation and Regulations, related Payment Systems & Services EU Legislation and
  • Regulations and future amendments, EBA Guidelines and other regulatory acts subject to the Company business.

Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer – LLB Law Degree
  • Previous experience in the role of Legal Advisor/ Compliance within a regulated environment of Banking/Payment institution/ EMI, subject to the CBC regulation
  • Experience with the Payment Service Directive and related CBC directives
  • Previous experience within a EMI/PI or Bank
  • Experience in commercial Information technology transactions and licensing experience is an advantage
  • Compliance and regulatory experience with CBC
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Greek, both written and verbal
